It has been a while since the last Future Proof edition. If you’re still here, thank you.
The earlier newsletter covered a lot: AI tools, careers, habits, wellness, and whatever seemed to be coming next. This next chapter has a narrower purpose: helping busy business owners and team leaders make recurring work easier to prepare and check.
One useful workflow each week. A small example. Something you can try without rebuilding your working life around a new app.
There is also a standard to repair. Some earlier editions contained incorrect year references and advice that needs a fresh product check. Going forward, examples will be labeled, changing product claims need current sources, and an attractive AI answer will still need a check.
Start with a task, then decide whether AI belongs in it.
Pick one thing you had to do twice last week: turning meeting notes into follow-ups, drafting a routine update, or organizing the steps in a recurring process.
Write three lines:
Input: What information do I actually have?
Output: What must the finished work contain?
Check: What would make me send it back?
For a meeting follow-up, that might look like this:
Input: rough notes from a team discussion.
Output: a list of agreed actions, owners, and dates, followed by unresolved questions.
Check: no invented assignments or deadlines. Anything not agreed stays unresolved.
Try this prompt with a fictional or de-identified example:
Turn these notes into a draft action list. Use only explicit commitments in the notes. For each action, show the owner, deadline, and supporting phrase. If the owner or date is missing, write “not agreed.” Put suggestions and open questions in a separate section. Do not treat a suggestion as a decision.
Then compare the output with the original notes. Did it save work after you included the time spent correcting it? If not, simplify the task before adding more prompts.
Future Proof will keep using AI to help produce the newsletter. That makes accuracy checks more necessary, not less. The examples here are starting points to adapt, not reports of results from your business.
The first paid pack is available now
The Meeting-to-Action Pack gives you a reusable worksheet, two prompts, a fictional worked example, and a review checklist.
Paid membership is $25/month or $250/year, including two implementation packs each month and the paid archive. See membership options.
Next week, the free edition will walk through the meeting workflow in more detail.
For now, one question: What recurring task would you most like to make easier? Reply with the task and the part that frustrates you. No private business details needed.
